Pre Rome
Back before Europe experienced Jesus, the Britons had there own miracle spinners, that of the werewolves. Mantos of the Druid council of the northern lands was one such miracle spinner, first member of the watcher pack, Alpha, and farther figure to a lot of the peoples in the area. At the time this story starts he was already much older than the others, this probably helped him cement the position of elder. Balance was held in great steed, anything that was in abundance was pruned back and anything in deficit was made to bloom once more.
News arrived that a force of mortals was moving north from Dover, taking control over all the villages as they moved north. The closer it got the more the packs feared the stories that had been said about it. Most, with the army on their doorstep fled north to Scotland, with a hand full to keep a quiet watch on the area. Mantos and his pack where the ones to agree to watch over this land.
• AD 112 the Romans arrive and drive the wolves north.
With the Romans leaving around the fifth century taking with them most of the strong people from the area as slaves and fighters, and a good number of these being the new generation of wolf blooded that would have filled in the guru gap left when the elders fled north from the roman occupation. Malevolent spirits began to flood the area without fear of being sent back to the shadow, quickly building up enough numbers to deal with any newly changed werewolf that should show it’s self.
Those mortals of weak will that where left where quickly bent to the chorus’ will, continuing the evolution of the area with extreme vigour
• Inspiration and technology spirits take control and there are no super naturals in the area.
• Werewolves come over with the raiding Vikings and set up home for a while but are repelled by Æthelfrith and his mortal army after his conversion to Christianity. Town renamed from Pons Aelius to Monkchester.
• William the conqueror drives out the Normans and renames it Novus Castellum.
• Town granted city status just before civil war (round heads and cavaliers)
• Then we hit the industrial revolution and emotion rises in provenance as the diablorist cult in Morpeth rises. Stevenson train invented
• So we have three courts and Newcastle as a centre of industrial power
• There is a revolt shortly after where the workers rise up.
• Then we are on to the Second World War.
• 1949 we have the kindred wiped out
• The wolves are mostly in the surrounding country and not in the city at this time.
• Mages still active, but as yet under scribed. Probably worth mentioning the dragon in passing as it seems to be making a stir UK wise
• In 2006 we have the dragon dieing and the kindred return
• Later in 2006 we are back to important spirit stuff.
• Early 2007 An outside spirit or group of spirits breezes through the city one night and cripples all three courts. They then disappear never to be seen again
